This place offers excellent value for money, especially out of season. We were upgraded to a very spacious room with a brilliant view over the sea. The breakfasts too were excellent. The reception staff were very friendly although a few of the other staff we found a little surly. All in all a great stay though.

Our stay was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed delicious and plentiful breakfasts.
Hotel was reasonably clean and homely with immensely pleasant staff and excellent location close to the ferry to Porto Santo. Our room was spotless and impressive with excellent view. The food in the patio was delicious. Location: the venue was just next door to the historical center of Funchal, common areas, and cafes, restaurants, downtown Funchal, ocean access.

The staff was super friendly and had a few recommendations about on-site superb restaurant. Its location a short walk to restaurants and bars was particularly good. - the service was all in all really great! - I can recommend the place. I hope this helps!

The location is excellent, near the town centre, the views were splendid over sea and Funchal, nice swimmingpool, excellent beds and large rooms with comfortable seats.
The hotel has some issues with the plumbing and some times there is a smell. But staff does do their best to get rid of it.

Excellent location, marvelous ocean view
In general staff was quite friendly and polite to customers, but quite often one could hear them quarelling in the kitchen, which is not very pleasant to hear

The hotel is in a great location in the old town close to Workers Market and a short walk to Sissi - Statue. the rooms have comfy beds, a hair dryer, a couch, and a balcony. the staff are exceptionally nice and suggested some great places to visit.
